~My Demons~ (Sonadow Fanfic) Pt. 1

Aaaayyyy lmao! Another song based fanfic!
The last song based fanfic I remember writing was my PhanRaiser fanfic where I wrote using Should've Been Us - Tori Kelly
And now I'm using Starset's song My Demons. Each part of this fanfiction will be based off part of the song. Can you guess the parts in full? I'd like to see you try!

    The sun rose high in the sky out over the ocean, and Sonic had finally managed to get everyone to join him on a small cruise ship, as if in celebration for his last victory. A lot of people had decided to join him. Tails, Amy, Cream, Blaze, Silver, Knuckles, Rouge, and even Shadow decided to join in with them. The hedgehog normally kept to himself, but this time he decided to go out in public and get to know everyone else a bit more. By the edge of the ship, he would have small conversations with Sonic, Amy and Rouge, other times he would only talk to Cream or Rouge. He'd rarely talk to Sonic alone. This confused the blue hedgehog. Why wouldn't he want to talk to me alone? Is he embarrassed about something? Sonic doubted that Shadow could be jealous. That wasn't a normal feeling for him, but Sonic still puzzled as to why that was. 
    It had been a few hours and Sonic had surprisingly not decided to bail off the ship yet, like he normally would. Something kept his feet glued to the decks of the ship. He leapt onto the side rails, looking down at the water. He still shivered at the thought of those large waves splashing over his fur.
    "Make sure you don't fall while you're standing there this time, Sonic," Tails said, walking over to him.
    "Unlikely that'll happen again," Sonic mumbled, looking down at his friend. "I'm sure somebody would help me if I did fall."
    Tails laughed. "Haha, I guess you're right! We wouldn't wanna lose our best fighter." Sonic chuckled, looking back out into the ocean. Tails walked away and Sonic narrowed his eyes at the oceanic glare. Something didn't feel right here... Sonic could almost feel himself falling just standing on the ship. His foot slipped and he found himself standing on one leg trying to balance himself. He felt someone grab his sides and pull him down from the rail. His ears twitched in confusion. He heard a light teleportation sound and he instantly knew who had saved him. Shadow.
    Sonic looked over to the Black Hedgehog, who stood alone at the edge of the ship, his arms crossed; His eyes were focused on that one point off in the distance. Sonic swore he caught a light dash of pink on the hedgehog's cheeks, which made him chuckle. The blue hedgehog looked back out over the edge of the ship, and he felt the deck lurch underneath him, only the slightest, which almost made him stumble. He leapt back to the rail and looked over the side of the ship. He couldn't see anything wrong. He went all the way around the ship, looking at the sides. Nothing was broken. It had to be something underneath the ship. He went through a hole in the ship that lead to the inside. His eyes widened when he saw the large hole in the floor. Water was filling up inside the ship; and fast.
    "Oh god, why did I drag us into this situation?!" Sonic yelped, racing back onto the deck. He ran to Tails, tapping the fox on the shoulder, trying to hide the fear in his eyes.
    Tails turned around. "Oh, hey Sonic. You need something?"
    "Actually, yes, come with me please?" Sonic grabbed Tails' hand and lead him to the hole that went inside the ship.
    "What is it?" Tails asked, keeping his voice down.
    "We may have a, uh... 'small...' situation..." Sonic almost couldn't find the right words to explain the situation.
    "Situation? You must be crazy, nothing could have gone wrong here, could it have?" Tails' ears perked up and his eyes were suddenly full of fear. Sonic sighed, and opened the hatch to the hole and motioned for Tails to come down with him. The fox followed quietly, his eyes narrowed. When they were a little way down the stairs, Sonic moved one hand in the direction of the hole, and the water that sprawled out everywhere. Tails leapt back.
    "Wh- How?!" Sonic shrugged, his eyes filling back up with fear. They both ran back up to the deck and slammed the hatch shut. Amy and Rouge ran over to the two of them.
    "Hey, Tails, what's going on?" Amy asked.
    "You act like something's up. You find something?" Rouge wondered, raising one eyebrow, unfolding her wings.
    Sonic and Tails quickly explain the situation, watching the fear build up on the two girls.
    "But how?" Rouge asked. "It was fine down there just a minute ago! Are you sure you aren't seeing things?"
    "Pretty sure," Sonic and Tails both nodded together. They reopened the hatch and had the girls look at the hole. Amy gave a squeal, and then slapped her hands over her mouth. Cream soon flew over to the group. Knuckles, Silver and Blaze followed her. Shadow was the only one that didn't show up.
    "What's going on?" Blaze asked, her tail lashing behind her. Cream and Silver managed to keep quiet for once.
    Sonic, Tails, Rouge and Amy quickly explained to everyone what was going on, and showed all of them proof of it. Shadow's ears swiveled back to hear the situation, even though he already knew what was going on; the ship was sinking. Soon everyone was in a slight panic as they had to figure out how to safely get off the ship, without getting hurt in the water. Cream offered to carry Amy back to the island; they weren't that far from it. Cream then grabbed Amy's hands and flapped her ears, she began flying off to the island, which was clearly in sight. Silver grabbed one of Blaze's hands and leapt into the air, a bright green aura fell over him as he carried Blaze after Cream and Amy. Rouge took Knuckles' hand, watching the echidna blush as she flared her wings, flying after everyone else. Tails looked back at Sonic and Shadow.
    "I doubt I would be able to carry both of you back to the island, I can only take one of you with me," Tails said sadly. Shadow kept his gaze off in the distance, off the ship.
    "I'll stay here," he said after a few minutes.
    "Wait- Shadow! We can't just leave you here!" Sonic felt his voice deepen with sadness.
    "I can find my own way back to the island, you deserve to get there safely." Shadow blushed slightly at saying this, yet he still didn't turn around to look at them. Sonic walked to Tails and grabbed his hands. Tails spun both tails behind him, and lifted him and Sonic off the deck. Sonic looked back at Shadow for a moment.
    "Are you sure you'll be fine?" Sonic asked, trying to hide the tears in his eyes.
    "I'll be fine," Shadow almost said it so quietly Sonic could barely hear. Shadow put his arms down at his sides, and a bright red glow shone in his left hand, then he disappear completely. Tails finally began flying back off to the island, as almost half the ship was underwater.
